IMPORTANT Update on CARES Paycheck Protection Program
We have received updated information that you are NOT required to have a charge conference to apply for this loan. Please do make sure that your Finance Committee and Church Council know that you are applying.
As we communicated earlier today, please take a look at this Paycheck Protection Loan Program, and begin work quickly on this process if it would benefit your congregation. It will be of great help to nonprofits and small businesses, and we urge you to consider it for your ministries.
The application process will open on April 3. Please contact and work with your bank immediately to get your application in on that date or as close to it as possible as there is a limited pool of money available for these loans. View the Paycheck Protection Program overview.
Here is copy of the denominational 501(c)(3) group ruling for The United Methodist Church in case you need to submit it with your application. Or, you can get a personalized letter for your church from the General Council on Finance & Administration Group Ruling website.
