Tornadoes in Tennessee - Compassion & Solidarity
posted on March 10
We have all been pained by the news of the devastating EF-4 tornado in the Caney Fork River District of the Tennessee Conference. It has been inspiring to see Early Response Teams (ERTs) at work and the amazing resources of UMCOR immediately deployed in the relief efforts. Having experienced an EF-2 tornado in our own district on April 15, 2018, our hearts are full of compassion and solidarity.
Our District has made a $1,000 contribution to the recovery efforts. We encourage you to receive an offering in your congregations.
You may note “Disaster Response” in your check to the WNCC Treasurer, or give directly to UMCOR Advance #901670. Online giving opportunities are available at wnccumc.org and umcor.org.
Blessings,
Bev
