New Safe Sanctuaries Resources
posted on June 26
Have you checked out our conference Safe Sanctuaries webpage lately? We now have a sample policy, sample forms, training templates, and free ONLINE TRAINING!
Yes, that's right! Thanks to a grant from the Northern Piedmont District, we now have online training available for policy leaders and local church volunteers. Upon completion of the online training, learners may print or download a certificate of completion to share with their supervisors or ministry leaders.
- The policy leader training is geared toward ministry leaders who are tasked with creating, reviewing, and implementing a Safe Sanctuaries policy.
- The local church volunteer training provides a general introduction to Safe Sanctuaries and covers some basic training topics. Please note that the local church volunteer training does NOT replace your local training. Local church staff and volunteers who have completed the online training will still need to be trained on your church's particular Safe Sanctuaries policy and procedures. The online training will provide the "why" and the "what," but it is still up to the local church to provide the "how.”
Additionally, we are planning a Safe Sanctuaries Train the Trainer event for folks who are interested in serving as district or conference trainers. Submit this interest form to let us know if you'd like to receive information about that training event.
